New Brunswick's own "Blue Lagoon"

During the summer months it can get pretty hot, some may think there aren't many places to swim besides the local public pool. Well actually there are many lakes and swimming holes in new brunswick and this is one of my favorites.

Just outside of Woodstock, New Brunswick there is a nice little spot to go swimming, locals call it the Blue Lagoon.

This "lagoon" is surrounded by cliffs, if your brave enough you can climb to the top and jump 50 or so feet to the clear water below.

I snapped this photo on my phone, even with the not so great quality you can see the color of the water.
If you are in the eastern part of Canada during the summer months (Jun-Aug), be sure to check out the Lagoon.

Why should you visit Fredericton?

Hi there, I'm going to take a few moment's to talk to you about my home town, Fredericton New Brunswick.

Fredericton is a small city located in Eastern Canada, although it is small, I believe there is something there for everybody. whether your a club kid, nature junky, or an adventure seeker, this city may be the perfect place for you.

Places to eat in Fredericton:

I don't know about you, but I can eat breakfast at any point during the day. The Cabin is a small but awesome restaurant. If you happen to find yourself here, order the breakfast poutine.

Lunch time, keep it simple. hit up a Thai place or something. & for supper check out Mexi's or the Blue Door.
If for some reason you find your self drunk at some point (this is bound to happen) check out Smoke's Poutine.

Things to do.

  • During the day you can go for a walk threw one of the city's many trail's, or something similar.
  • if for some reason you get bored of going of walks and stuff, Thursday - Sunday the bar's are pretty busy.
  • Retire

Fredericton would be an awesome city to live in once you have retired.

now some photo's that where taken in Fredericton.

Leaving the nest - My move to Moncton.

Hello there, my name is Andrew Grattan and this is my first post on my travel blog!

I am a student in the travel & hospitality course at Oulton College and as my title suggests I had to move from my home town in Fredericton, New Brunswick , to Moncton, New Brunswick  where the College is located.

Prior to attending Oulton I had travelled to Parry Sound, Ontario to attend a summer camp but had not had the opportunity to travel elsewhere, I have always enjoyed learning about different cultures and the thought of travelling outside of my country excites me. Which is why I decided to take this particular course. I want to be a travel agent once I graduate, I would love to help plan & put together trips for customers on a daily basis.

In April 2015 my class will be taking a trip to Cancun, Mexico, This trip will be my first time leaving Canada! In the near future I want to go to Santorini, Greece that would be my dream trip. also I would like to visit India, Chile, Brazil and Turks & Caicos just to mention a few.
